The Rotary Club of Belait (RCB) welcomed a new member during an induction ceremony on January 5.
The newest member Alice Chan Tze Lim pledged the club’s oath overseen by the RCB president and guest of honour.
The former district governor presented Lim with the Rotary International Pin and theme pin, while the RCB president presented a certificate of membership.
Her sponsor, Selency Hwong Li Tung presented a bouquet to Chan.
Past District Governor Jeff Yong Teck Chin was the guest of honour. Committee and RCB members as well as visiting members from Rotary Club of Bandar Seri Begawan (RC BSB) were welcomed by President Henrietta Hiew.
Rotary Club Assistant Governor of District 3310 Jimmy Chung gave a briefing on the role that the club officer plays in upholding the club’s mission and image.
