We are residents of Tanjung Bunut who live a stone’s throw away from the health centre in Sengkurong. With a car, it takes just five minutes to reach the clinic.
However, during our most recent visit, we were redirected to the health centre in Bunut due to our postcode.
Having resided in Tanjung Bunut for over two decades, the health centre in Sengkurong had always been our go-to clinic, mainly because the one in Bunut is markedly further, at 20 minutes drive away.
We would like to urge the authorities to consider redefining catchment areas, to take into account patients’ comfort and convenience rather than relying solely on postcodes.
