The 29th Civil Service Day Inter-Ministry Netball Championship continued at the multi-purpose hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex last weekend.
Four final matches were played involving teams from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Development (MoD), the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA), the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health.
Permanent Secretary (Community) at the MCYS Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari was the guest of honour.
Deputy Permanent Secretary (Safety and Welfare) at the MoHA Nor Hamidah binti Haji Hamidon, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Corporate and Law) at the MoD Aldila binti Haji Mohamad Salleh, Brunei Netball Association President Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) Hajah Wan Shahlimar binti Haji Suhaili and other senior government officers were also present.
The 29th Civil Service Day Inter-Ministry Netball Championship organised by the MCYS through the Department of Youth and Sports with the cooperation of the Brunei Netball Association were held on May 19, 21, 26 and 28.
Eight ministries participated in the competition.
Two categories – veteran and open – were contested in the event. The format of the tournament was a round robin system.
