Imagine Sdn Bhd (imagine) is encouraging consumers to take their time in choosing a service provider, all of whom are now capable of providing a suite of services that encompass broadband, as well as mobile.
This sentiment, which echoes the message delivered by the Authority for Info-communications and Technology of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) ahead of today’s new services and packages launch, is to ensure that customers are able to choose packages which are best suited to their needs, lifestyles and families, whether they are heavy data users or those who prefer speed. Today’s launch signifies an abundance of opportunities for the benefit of the consumer and the important role which the telecommunications industry plays in the development of Brunei Darussalam in achieving the goals of Vision 2035, which seeks to empower Bruneians in a more digitally-savvy society on par with other developed nations.
During a press conference, imagine revealed that its packages for both broadband and post-paid mobile were inspired by feedback received through a public survey to meet the increasing demand for connectivity among the local populace. Chief Executive Officer of imagine Suzanna Suharju said, “With 10 broadband speed options across four data plans starting from as low as BND39 a month at 100GB, as well as unlimited packages, imagine centres itself as the leading broadband expert who is adept at identifying the needs of its customers.”
As announced by AITI, number porting, or number transfer from one network to another, will be made available for free by imagine. In its early stages, the company is piloting this service and is inviting the public to be part of the experience. The company also plans to organise more community engagement through partnerships and collaboration with non-government, government as well as youth organisations within the country. imagine is also inviting the public to participate in a weekend of activities at Times Square Shopping Centre on January 31, where the company’s ‘imagineers’ will provide insights into new offerings. imagine Vice President for Marketing Dona Johan; Vice President for Information Technology Radziman Rahman; and Chief Operating Officer David Chetty were also present.
