BRIAN Eden, the Chinese tourist and YouTuber who pushed the airport trolley all the way to the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Highway on Monday afternoon apologised to the authorities during an interview yesterday.

Brian Eden whose real name is Chu Siao Xu will stay in Brunei Darussalam until February 28 and will take videos of the Brunei Darussalam National Day parade at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien on February 23.

Speaking in English, Brian Eden clarified that he wasn’t looking for a bus stop when he was pushing the airport trolley on the highway from the Brunei International Airport.

He said, “I was actually heading to the seaside with the trolley and I wanted to camp at the seaside. I was thinking of returning the trolley the next day. Now that I know pushing the trolley from the airport is wrong, I am truly sorry. “

Asked why he was visiting Brunei, he said “I wanted to see Brunei, one of the world’s richest countries. And I wanted to promote Brunei Darussalam in my YouTube travel videos.”

Born in Dandong city at the China-North Korea border, Brian Eden, 54, started his travel YouTube channel two months ago and has visited 10 countries so far.

He plans to fly to Bali, Indonesia as his next destination.
