The Chinese community across all four districts of the country marked the first day of Chinese New Year (CNY) with open house gatherings yesterday.
Local business owners invited family members, business partners and friends to share in the festivities.
Among them was Syarikat Perniagaan Malar Setia Managing Director Lim Chin Lam, who opened his doors to guests at his Kampong Tanah Jambu home.
Guests were treated to a buffet spread and live cooking stall meals.
Meanwhile, Dato Paduka Lim Beng Thai also held an open house, welcoming around 100 guests (including corporate partners and clients) to his home.
British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Richard Lindsay and representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Brunei Darussalam Andrew Lee also attended.
The open house featured a traditional lion and dragon dance, as well as an array of special dishes.
