Valor Property Agency (B) Sdn Bhd, one of the most established real estate agencies in the country ushered in the Year of the Rat with a Chinese New Year open house at the I-Lotus restaurant in Kampong Rimba yesterday afternoon.
Among the guests were foreign dignitaries, clients as well as prominent figures in the local business community. The celebration was also attended by Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Haji Apong and his spouse. Managing Director of Valor Irene Hii and management greeted the guests on arrival.
They were treated to a feast at the open house.
In an interview about the current development of local property market, Irene Hii explained, “We see that there is an increase in rental activities in January. This is good for the market and I can see that more people are coming in and looking to rent a place to stay. With the increasing trend, I can see that this will help to reduce the number of vacant houses.”
On buying and selling of property, she commented, “It’s also picking up this year. There are more inquiries and people are looking at buying properties. This is a good time to buy property because banks are coming up with attractive packages and subsidies while selling prices of properties have also dropped.”
She added, “We are very optimistic for the Year of the Rat and hoping for the best in 2020.”
