ANN/CHINA DAILY – China is seriously concerned about media reports the Biden administration is considering cutting off approving licences for United States (US) companies to export products to Chinese tech company Huawei, the Foreign Ministry said.
“We are closely following relevant developments,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said.
China firmly opposes the US’ practices of over-generalising the concept of national security and abusing national power to suppress Chinese enterprises, Mao said.
Such practices are technological hegemony that violate the principles of market economy and international trade rules, and undermine the confidence of the international community in the business environment of the US, she added.
“China will continue to firmly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises,” Mao said.
