Kampong Lambak Youth Association (PERBEKAL) held a charity event was held to mark International Volunteer Day on Monday at Kampong Lambak Mosque in Berakas.
The event saw the washing of the prayer veils and presentation of 21 cartons of mineral water, cleaning materials and items for handling jenazah.
Making charitable contributions is a long standing activity of the association.
Monday’s event was the second time the group had organised an activity in conjunction with International Volunteer’s Day – Day of Action.
PERBEKAL Advisor Pengiran Haji Nordin bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud officiated the event.
Acting Village Head of Kampong Lambak Kanan Pengiran Jofri bin Pengiran Haji Zaidi was also present.
The contributions were handed over to a representative from the mosque takmir Committee.
PERBEKAL Vice President II Pengiran Mahari bin Pengiran Haji Md Tahir said the association is giving their full support to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in promoting a charity culture and encouraging others to volunteer.
