Change in school hours for religious, Arabic schools

School hours for religious and Arabic schools nationwide throughout the month of Ramadhan have been changed to adjust to the fasting period.

According to a statement from the Islamic Studies Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) yesterday, all religious schools from Primary 4 to 6 will follow school hours from 8am to 9.30am for morning sessions while for the afternoon sessions, it will be from 12.30pm to 2pm.

Meanwhile, students in pre-school, Primary 1, 2 and 3 will not be required to attend school.

For Arabic preparatory schools Years 5 and 6, the school hours will be from 7.30am to 11.40am while for Arabic secondary schools Year 7 to pre-university level, from 7.20am to 12.30pm.
