Chance to win a car in upcoming FIFA World Cup season

Borneo Bulletin and Media Permata readers will stand a chance to win a brand new Hyundai Creta 1.5L worth around BND32,000 as the grand prize of the FIFA World Cup 2022 Guess The Semi-Finalists Contest.

Organised by Brunei Press Sdn Bhd, the publishers of the Sultanate’s leading dailies Borneo Bulletin and Media Permata, other prizes to be won include Hyundai goodie bags and Baiduri Bank savings account.

To mark the partnership for the contest, a signing of memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Brunei Press, Setia Motors Sdn Bhd and Baiduri Bank took place yesterday at the showroom of Setia Motors, the main distributor of Hyundai in the country.

Brunei Press General Manager Mohd Najmuddin bin Abdul Razak signed the agreement, witnessed by Senior Manager of Finance and Operations Suzie Houng, while Setia Motors General Manager James Chin signed on the dotted line, witnessed by Sales Manager Fadhillah Sulaiman.

Signing on behalf of Baiduri Bank was its Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Business Development) Pengiran Azaleen bin Pengiran Dato Haji Mustapha, witnessed by Head of Retail Banking Lim Kian Chiong.

Mohd Najmuddin said football is one of the most popular sports in Brunei and FIFA World Cup 2022 is one that many are looking forward to, and adding that it will be an exciting event where 32 teams compete in 64 matches from November 20 to December 18.

The general manager also revealed that over 20,000 entry forms were received in the previous Guess The Semi-Finalists Contest.

This year, Setia Motors will be providing the grand prize of a Hyundai Creta 1.5 worth BND32,350, while Baiduri Bank gifts savings accounts worth a total of BND2,000 for other winners.

Chin said, “Hyundai has long been involved in football and an official automotive partner of FIFA. We are delighted to be involved in this year’s contest. We hope that local football fans will take part in the contest.”

The World Cup in Qatar will kick off on November 20 with a massive following in Brunei.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 Guess The Semi-Finalists Contest in Borneo Bulletin and Media Permata begins on November 7.
