Certificate presentation for top money savers

The Centre for Children with Special Needs (KACA) recently held a presentation of certificates to the top money savers among the KACA children.

In first place was Nurul Azerah binti Haji Shahri, who managed to save a total of BND22,847.87. Second place went to Abdul Azim bin Bakar and in third place was Mohd Arif Aminuddin bin Suhailian.

Meanwhile, the top saver for five consecutive years (2016-2020) was Abdul Azim bin Bakar, with a total of BND59,976.10. The second top saver was Nurul Azerah and the third was Norazmie anak Jambon.

The children received their certificates from KACA President Dato Paduka Haji Zainal bin Haji Momin.

Managing Director of KACA Haji Awang Abdul Alim bin Haji Awang Othman said, “The KACA savings project is aimed at cultivating a culture or awareness of saving money. Parents can also help their children to save, and thus improve their financial management for the future of their children.”

Nurul Azerah’s mother, Nauyah binti Haji Osman, said, “My daughter is sensible about spending her monthly allowance. The savings are for her future. It’s also important to learn about proper financial management and savings.”

Dato Paduka Haji Zainal also presented certificates to the winners of a storytelling competition held in conjunction with KACA’s 34th anniversary.

Haziyah Syukriyah binti Haji Sufri Perizan took the top prize in the 13 years and above category, for her story, Corruption.

In second place was Mohamad Hariz Syaffie bin Romei for COVID-19 Season, while Md Rozyman bin Norman came in third with Washing Hands.

The only participant for the 13 years and below category was Mohd Nazrul Hadi bin Kamis.
