Some 90 members of the Welfare Body of Police Wives and Families (PEKERTI) of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) participated in a Dikir ceremony in conjunction with Maulidur Rasul 1442 Hijrah at the Taman Didikan Anak-Anak Polis Diraja Brunei hall, Police Headquarters Gadong recently.
Association President and spouse of Commissioner of Police Pengiran Datin Hajah Zauyah binti Pengiran Haji Sulaiman was the guest of honour.
Chairperson of PEKERTI ‘A’ Hajah Salwana binti Haji Md Yassin and Chairperson of Religious of PEKERTI Rokiah binti Joly/Julai as well as the association’s executive committee and members from all seven PEKERTI branches were also present.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by Dikir Assallai, Tausyeh, Selawat Badar, and Dikir Yaa Man Hadar.
It concluded with Doa Penutup by Deputy Religious Manager for PEKERTI ‘A’ Norerny binti Emran.
The ceremony also saw a special religious talk. The ceremony, one of the association’s annual activity, was jointly organised by the executive committee members of Religious body and PEKERTI ‘A’.
The Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) through its Student Affairs Section and Student Representative Council (MPP) organised a ceremony in conjunction with Maulidur Rasul 1442 Hijrah.
Acting Ra’es of KUPU SB Dr Abang Haji Hadzmin bin Abang Haji Taha was the guest of honour. Acting Assistant Ra’es Datin Dr Hajah Noor Hira binti Haji Noor Kaseh was also present.
The ceremony began with a forum featuring three panel speakers including Associate Professor from the Faculty of Education Dr Muhammad Zahiri bin Awang Mat, Dean of Faculty of Usuluddin Dr Mikdar Rusdi and Director of the Jawi Studies and Kitab Turath Research Centre Dr Harapandi Dahri. Associate Professor Dr Zahiri discussed Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) Akhlak (morals) described in Surah Al-Qalam verse 4, while Dr Harapandi elaborated on how the Ummah could express love to the Prophet (pbuh) in many ways.
Dr Mikdar Rusdi highlighted the importance of reflecting on what we can learn by commemorating the Maulud Nabi celebration.
The ceremony also saw a prize presentation to Tazkirah competition, camping and video creation on Sirah Rasulullah winners.
Micronet International College
In conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul 1442 Hijrah, Micronet International College organised a religious event to commemorate the occasion at its Jerudong campus yesterday.
The event, hosted by the student council began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by college student Abdul Qawiyyel Azeez bin Haji Abdul Rajid.
Students and lecturers performed Dikir Syarafil Anam and Tausyeh.
Muslims believe that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the epitome and model of love, mercy, compassion, benevolence, generosity and all virtues, hence the love for Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is not undue and his birth anniversary is annually marked with Maulidur Rasul ceremonies.
The Student Council of Kolej International Graduate Studies (KIGS) organised its first Maulidur Rasul ceremony at the college’s Business, Marketing and Communication Centre (BMCC).
The ceremony aimed to instil the love for the religion and the Prophet (pbuh) while at the same time inculcating the practice of active participation in religious activities at the college.
College CEO Dr Haji Azaharaini bin Haji Mohd Jamil, senior management and administrative personnel, lecturers and students were present.
The ceremony began with the mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by KIGS Student Council President Nurmajeedah Husna binti Haji Mahali’s remarks. She said the event served to nurture a sense of love for the Prophet (pbuh) and Islamic teachings, while strengthening the spirit of unity and friendship among Muslims.
Aside from a special religious talk on Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) journey by invited speaker Pengiran Haji Abdul Basit bin Pengiran Haji Zaini, the programme also included a Qasidah performance by the Anwar Al-Huda group and a presentation of a token of appreciation from KIGS CEO to the college’s former lecturer Haji Nasrul Fakhri bin Haji Yahya.
Attendees participated in a Dikir Marhaban while Doa Selamat was read by Nordin bin Ajmain.
