Prime Minister’s Office
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) organised a religious talk at the Banquet Hall of the ministry in enlivening the celebration of Maulidur Rasul 1441 Hijrah yesterday.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud was the guest of honour.
Also present were Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar; auditor general, Syariah Court judge, permanent secretaries; deputy permanent secretaries; heads of departments; officers as well as staff of PMO and its departments.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the reading of verses of Al-Quran by Education Officer at the Islamic Studies Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs Mohamed Noor bin Haji Ibrahim.
A religious talk on Meneladani Muamalat Rasulullah Sallallahu‘Alaihi Wassallam was delivered by Director of Centre for the Promotion of Knowledge and Language of the Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Dr Haji Hambali bin Haji Jaili.
Dr Haji Hambali said manners and personalities are qualities that should be taken care of and are the most expensive assets before looking at aspects of one’s knowledge.
“Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was sent by Allah the Almighty to be the Messenger (Rasul) to the Muslims to convey the virtues of a noble personality inculcate as a Muslim,” he said.
The ceremony was enlivened with Dikir Syarafil Anam performance and concluded with Doa led by Kampong Pintu Malim Mosque Affairs Officer Haji Muhd Azrol Alim bin Haji Zaini.
The ceremony was co-organised by Media and Cabinet Division of the PMO, Radio Television Brunei and Civil Service Institute.
Ministry of Education
The Ministry of Education (MoE) held a Maulidur Rasul celebration at the Main Hall of the Curriculum Development Department of the ministry yesterday.
It was organised by the Co-curriculum Education Department and Special Education Unit under the ministry.
Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the Ministry of Education Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad was the guest of honour.
Also present were Acting Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the MoE Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Acting Vice Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) Haji Ady Syarmin bin Haji Md Taib, deputy permanent secretaries, head of departments, officers and staff at the MoE.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, followed by a Special Lecture titled Meneladani Muamalat Rasulullah Salallahu‘alaihi Wassalam by Officer at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Muhammad Yussof bin Haji Abdul Majid.
The event aimed to enliven the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and to strengthen bonds between officers and staff at the MoE.
Department of Councils of State
The Department of Councils of State marked the Maulidur Rasul celebration with a Dikir ceremony at the Surau of the department yesterday.
The ceremony, organised by the Welfare and Sport’s Bodies, was lauded with the recitation of Dikir Asyaraqal by staffs of Department of Councils of State and continued with the recitation of Doa Kesyukuran.
Present at the ceremony were the Secretary to the Cabinet Minister’s Council and Clerk to the Legislative Council, Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Haji Judin bin Haji Asar and officers and staff of the department.
Brunei Methanol Company
Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) held its annual Maulidur Rasul celebration in collaboration with Takmir committee and members of Kampong Sungai Liang Mosque, Zainab Mosque in Kampong Lumut, Al-Mashor Mosque in Kampong Sungai Mau, Kampong Bukit Sawat Mosque, Kampong Labi Mosque and other Muslim communities recently.
Attendees participated in an assembly and procession at Municipal Field in Kuala Belait. The event aimed to enliven the Maulidur Rasul celebration and strengthen ties among BMC staff, mosques’ Takmir committee member and residents from Mukim Kuala Belait.
