MINI Brunei celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri with children of Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei and MINI owners during a Raya open showroom event yesterday.
QAF Auto General Manager Alisa Khoo attended the event, joined by SMARTER Brunei Vice Treasurer Haji Suhaili bin Haji Abdul Hamid.
Some 20 children from SMARTER Brunei, together with their parents were treated to an array of Raya goodies.
There were also activities including colouring, card making and arts and crafts, for the children. Representatives from SMARTER Brunei also raised awareness on autism, as well as a donation drive at the event.
“At MINI, we’re all about BIG Love. It is a powerful inspiration to do better, to create a brighter future for all of us,” said Khoo.
“It is fantastic to see so many like-minded individuals come together for this meaningful cause. No effort is too small when it comes to caring for these children, and all of us can do our part to build a better tomorrow.” She also thanked the customers for their support and assured them that MINI will continue to provide vehicles geared with lasting heritage, individualistic spirit and innovative technologies.
The celebration with children from SMARTER Brunei, a support organisation for families with autism, is part of MINI Brunei’s BIG Love for People project.
The public is welcome to visit the MINI Brunei showroom to make donations to SMARTER Brunei. The donation box will be placed in the showroom until the end of May, before handing over to SMARTER Brunei.
Daimun Security Services
Daimun Security Services (DSS) under Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) contracts held an appreciation presentation ceremony and Hari Raya gathering recently.
The event saw certificates presented to security guards who had outstanding achievements in carrying out their duties, and providing security services and assistance beyond their tasks.
DSS Managing Director and Chief Operations Officer Major (Rtd) Wan Mohammad Tambrin Shah bin Haji Suhaili was the guest of honour. The event was also attended by representatives from BSP who presented the certificates to the security personnel.
KEMUDA Institute
KEMUDA Institute hosted a Hari Raya gathering with lecturers and students at its Beribi campus recently.
The event began with welcoming remarks from the student council, followed by the recitation of Doa led by ExCo Religious Affairs and a speech from principal Mohammed Khairy Yusrin bin Haji Abdul Salam.
The event, aimed at fostering ties among students featured karaoke performances and a lucky draw session to enliven the occasion.

Purih Lamit Salleh Family

The family of Purih Lamit Salleh (Purih Lamit Salleh family, pic below) marked the end of Syawal on Sunday with a Hari Raya gathering at Sama Kaya Hall in Jalan Tasek Lama in the capital to foster closer ties among over 50 members.
The gathering also included the recitation of Al-Quran verses and Selawat, as well as Tahlil for the deceased.
