Celebrating 25 years of sheer driving pleasure

QAF Auto, the sole importer and distributor of BMW vehicles in Brunei celebrated its Silver Jubilee anniversary on November 1.

General manager of QAF Auto Alisa Khoo said in an interview, “I want to take the time to sincerely say thank you to all our customers for your loyalty in both sales and service. Our customers are the backbone of our organisation. We continually strive to improve the overall experience of our customers through all touchpoints and throughout their journey as customers. It’s all about building a close relationship with all of our customers. And not forgetting all of our employees – who move this company forward on our path to success.”

QAF Auto’s business strategy is based on having a powerful brand image. The company believes in maintaining core values such as technology, performance, reliability, staff’s quality and productivity and most of all, customer satisfaction.

“We are focussing on exceeding customers’ expectations,” Khoo said, adding that the company is committed and dedicated to their customers, hence “we keep striving to give only the best. We have all the right people to materialise this commitment and dedication.”

QAF Auto has recently renovated its showroom. With 14 display units and 31 service bays, the showroom covers 33,680 square feet and offers sales and aftersales services for both BMW and MINI vehicles.

According to Marketing Manager of the BMW brand in Brunei Siti Salwa binti Haji Mustapa, a lot of exciting things have been planned for next year including the launch of new models and events, as part of enhancing customers’ experience and ownership journey.

Khoo said the company wanted to mark its anniversary with a donation to the community.
“We’ve been an integral part of the community since 1996 and for this 25th anniversary we wanted to support the community together with our customers. We chose the Brunei Council on Social Welfare (MKM) to support them in continuing doing their valuable noble work,” she said.

QAF Auto has been actively involved in doing charity drives, especially during Ramadhan.
Earlier this year, amid the COVID-19 outbreak in Brunei, the management and staff sent basic necessities to orphans and single mothers listed under underprivileged families, at the Community Development Department (JAPEM) as part of their annual ‘Joy of Giving’ charity drive.

These initiatives are meant to give back to the community while upholding the company’s commitment to corporate responsibility.

I have only been in Brunei for a month, though I have been with the BMW network since 2007, starting in a BMW dealer as a senior technician. Admin Executive Siti Nadzirah binti Haji Johari, who has been serving the company since 2015, highlighted, “Success requires hard work and teamwork. It was a great achievement to someone working on the customer service team. Thank you for the 25 years of happiness, happy anniversary QAF Auto!”

Body and Paint Manager Ishak bin Haji Abang, who has been serving the company since the opening in 1996, shared, “I was one of the pioneering staff of QAF Auto and I am happy to still be here after 25 years. The company has gotten better in many ways than it was 10 years ago and I will continue to strive to achieve success with the company by giving the best to our customers. Customer Service Adviser Puvan, who has been with the company since April 2014, commented, “Throughout my eight-year career with QAF Auto, I have faced many challenges.
