CCCT develops youth leadership skills

COSMOPOLITAN College of Commerce and Technology (CCCT) organised a student leadership programme for new intakes. Around 200 new students registered for the fifth intake and participated in their first orientation at the RBTS Paintball Arena in Jerudong on October 1.

It was an event that put participants’ enthusiasm and hard work to the test while enduring heat from the sun. The new intakes formed 15 groups comprising 10 to 11 members each. A CCCT volunteer was assigned to each group to guide the freshmen.

CCCT lecturers briefed students and conducted a warm-up session before commencing the activities. The new intakes made excellent progress bonding with their teammates as they were assigned to name their group and create a team cheer together.

Students showed good teamwork and perseverance while engaging in the 10 challenging activities.

The event aimed provided participants an opportunity to establish ties among their peers.

The new intakes attended the second orientation at the CCCT at The Airport Mall in Berakas on October 2.

The orientation was divided into two sessions – morning for Level 1 and 2 students and afternoon for Level 3 and 5 students.

The new intakes received their schedules. The students gathered at the student lounge.

CCCT lecturers discussed many useful topics that focussed on discipline, obedience, and respect. One of the lecturers spoke on education allowance, scholarship rules, fees, payment, regulations, extra-curricular activities, assignments and codes of conduct.

CCCT’s Director of Studies Nadirah binti Jambol expressed gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for providing scholarships for students willing to study.
