Canadian High Commission, BWN to hold mentoring event for young women

THE High Commission of Canada to Brunei Darussalam in cooperation with the Brunei Womenpreneur Network (BWN), an initiative under Big BWN Project, will organise a speed mentoring and networking event at Rimba Garden Central at 2.30pm on March 8 in conjunction with the celebration of International Women’s Day.

The event will see the participation of up to 20 mentors from various backgrounds comprising government officials, prominent business owners and heads of diplomatic missions.

They include former Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Datin Paduka Dayang Hajah Adina binti Othman, Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman, Chief Information Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Tan Ngee Lee and Chief Marketing Officer of Progresif Cellular Devin Edwards.

The High Commission of Canada along with Big BWN Project aim to empower young Bruneian women by providing them with the opportunity to meet with other like-minded individuals in Brunei Darussalam.

The objective of the event is to encourage young women to reach their potential and contribute to Brunei’s socio-economic growth and prosperity.

The event is open for registration for 50 people only, on a first-come-first-served basis.
