Managing Director of Jisco Marine Shaikh Ahmad Khalis bin Shaikh Haji Khalid highlighted the importance of workplace safety during the Jisco Marine Sdn Bhd Safety Campaign 2019 at the Brunei Shell Recreation Club (BSRC) yesterday.

“Safety is a top priority, and to ensure that, we cannot let our guard down or cut corners in our safety. Let us grow the culture of safety mindedness.”

Over 70 people, including representatives from departments under Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) and business partners attended the event. Head of SMR Department at BSP Richard Bounds and TWC Department Officer at BSP Igor Zhidkikh were the guests of honour.

Chairman and Managing Director of Serikandi Group of Companies Shaikh Haji Khalid bin Shaikh Haji Ahmad noted that the campaign’s main topic is to ‘Save Lives: Intervene,’ and that sharing related tips will improve the health and safety performances in areas under their jurisdiction, both onshore and offshore.

“When you pay attention to safety first, you can ensure that every action you take can make a measurable impact in ensuring accidents, unnecessary loss of life and damages are prevented,” he continued.

“Instilling safety behaviours through such campaigns falls in line with our commitment to Health, Safety and Environment elements in all processes. I hope everyone here will become more safety conscious.”

The campaign continued with a series of safety briefings and activities.
