Call to strengthen faith, pious acts

Azlan Othman

The faithful and pious Ummah are always aware that life in this world is temporary and not everlasting. They also strive for and welcome the blessings from Allah the Almighty in every second of their life, said Special Duties Officer Grade II at Counselling and Religious Understanding Unit at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Muhammad Yussof bin Haji Abdul Majid.

He said this during the third Munajat night this year organised by the MoRA on Saturday, which saw the participation of hundreds of congregants from 30 mosques nationwide.

He called on the Ummah to recite more Istighfar so that they will be forgiven by Allah the Almighty.

The activity began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong representing Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Sungai Akar.

The ceremony continued with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, led by education officer at Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic School Zulhafiz bin Haji Tengah and Doa Munajat led by Syariah Court of Appeal Judge Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan.

The Munajat night invited the ministry’s workforce and the public to get closer to Allah the Almighty and seek forgiveness to spare the people and nation from the worst of COVID-19.

The public is urged to be vigilant in the fight against COVID-19 and pray that the Sultanate is protected under the blessings of Allah the Almighty.
