THE Premier Innovation’s Award (AIP) 2019 organised by the Management Services Department (MSD) and Civil Service Institute (IPA) of Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) is open for registration, the MSD announced yesterday.
The award, open to all officers and employees of the government, private sector and the public as an individual or as a group is divided into two categories.
A project paper which applies for a project that has been implemented and has shown significant results/outcomes and positive impacts in the public service; and also proposal paper which applies for proposals in the form of ideas that could potentially be implemented/practised in the civil service.
Eligibility for the Project Paper category is only for the public sector either as an individual or as a group.
The Proposal Paper is open to all government officers and employees, private sector as well as the public.
All papers submitted for participation must meet the goals of AIP to encourage innovation towards good governance for civil service; appreciate excellence in the public service; enhance motivation among public servants as to further promote/encourage innovation; enhance professionalism in the civil service; enhance positive image of the civil service; gather and disseminate best practices to be shared among other civil service agencies; obtain diverse views and input especially from the private sector and the public on public service delivery; and encourage participation of the private sector and public to contribute innovative ideas towards civil service reforms.
Those who wish to participate in AIP 2019 can submit as many Project Papers and/or Proposal Papers in line with the focus areas of AIP.
They are the improvement of public service delivery through ICT applications and other mechanisms such as Delivery Approach, Business Process Re-engineering; Innovations in the Public Service; Enhancement of Integrity, Transparency, Accountability and Responsiveness in the Public Service; and Quality improvement in Public Service which can contribute towards expediting processes and procedures in relation to ‘Ease of Doing Business’ (EODB).
All papers submitted in the award must meet the requirements outlined in AIP 2019 Guidelines.
Participation form and AIP 2019 Guidelines can be downloaded from MSD’s website at www.msd.gov.bn.
Completed participation forms should be returned to Management Services Department, not later than April 20, 4pm.
Meanwhile, interested parties can also visit the AIP 2019 roadshow to be held at the Multi-Purpose Hall of Bahirah Complex, Audit Department in Jalan Menteri Besar on February 25 and 26 at 8.30am and 2.30pm and at 8.30am on February 27 to get more information on the guidelines.
