Health Promotion Centre’s Health Education Officer Arni Nur Aqilah binti Haji Awang Bakar emphasised the risks posed to users of tobacco products and those around them, highlighting the importance of maintaining a smoke-free work environment.
She said this during a presentation when Mashhor General Contractor Sdn Bhd (MGCSB) hosted an anti-tobacco talk for its employees on September 28 at its main office in Jalan Pangsa. The talk aimed to raise awareness on the dangers of tobacco use and promote a healthier workplace.
The session also provided an overview of the Tobacco Order 2005, which outlines the legal restrictions on smoking and vaping in prohibited areas. – Daniel Lim
