Call for blood donors; supply at critical level

The Ministry of Health urged the public to help increase blood supplies in the country, which are currently at a critical level, by donating blood and continuing to donate every two to three months, subject to the donor’s health.

Meanwhile, the Blood Donation Centre of the Laboratory Services Department will hold several blood donation campaigns. Today, the blood donation campaign will take place in conjunction with World Thalassemia Day at Lobby 5 of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital from 8am to 11.30am and 1.30 to 3.30pm.

Another will be held on May 10 in conjunction with the 66th anniversary of Radio Brunei Service at Radio Television Brunei Sungai Akar Broadcasting Complex, Jalan Utama Mentiri from 9am to 11am and 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Meanwhile, blood donation campaigns will take place at Bilik Silaturrahim, Bay 1, Print Plus Sdn Bhd, Jalan Lapangan Terbang Lama on May 11 from 10am to 3pm, at St George’s School on May 12 from 8.3am to 10.30am and at the Language and Literature Bureau library in Muara from on May 13 9am to 11.30am.

Booking a slot through the BloodKad app for the blood donation campaign is encouraged.
