THE activities and exercises planned for Junior Scouts and Venture Scout Patrols for 2019 were discussed with them by the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) Scouts Chief Commissioner Haji Awang Badar bin Haji Ali recently.
The discussion took place when the PPNBD through the Junior Scouts and Venture Scouts Section held an annual meeting for scout leaders, assistant scouts leaders, Junior Scouts and Venture Scouts Patrols from various colleges and secondary schools across the country.
The event was held to help outline the various scouting activities to be held in 2019.
Held at the PPNBD Headquarters at Jalan Gadong, the meeting saw over 30 Junior Scouts and Venture Scout Patrols in attendance.
Among them were Year 7 to Year 9 students for the Junior Scouts and Year 10 to Year 11 students for the Venture Scout Patrols.
Programme Commissioner Junaidi bin Haji Hussin, Headquarters Scouts Commissioner for Girl Scouts Section Hajah Nor Rahmat binti Sidin, Scout Executive Officer Zainudin bin Haji Ishak, Tutong District Acting District Scout Commissioner Haji Murad bin Haji Abdul Hadi, Temburong District Scout Commissioner Jurkarnain bin Husin and assistant district scout commissioners for the Junior Scouts and Venture Scouts Section were also present.
The PPNBD Scouts Chief Commissioner explained the activities will serve to better support and develop the young generation in expanding their sets of skills through fun and engaging activities and exercises.
Headquarters Scout Commissioner for Junior Scout and Venture Scouts Section Haji Burhanuddin bin Haji Md Daud explained the activities and exercises planned for 2019 such as Patrols Leadership Course, Venture Scouts Leadership Course and Orienteering Competition.
