Building future leaders

A total of 30 participants, comprising students from Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) AgroBIZ, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) and staff members, completed a Shell LiveWIRE Brunei programme held at Trandie Marina Resort in conjunction with Shell LiveWIRE’s 20th anniversary recently.

The event was aimed at fostering leadership skills and delving into participants’ personal traits through self-assessment and peer evaluation.

Shell LiveWIRE Brunei Business Counsellor Mohd Fadhilullah Tudun bin Haji Hassan led the theoretical sessions, where he covered renowned psychological concepts such as Joseph Luth’s ‘Johari Window’, Harrington Ingham and Abraham Maslow’s ‘Hierarchy of Needs’, Bobbi Deporter’s ‘Eight Keys of Excellence’ and E St Elmo Lewis’ ‘AIDA Marketing’.

Experienced guides of Trandie Marina Resort led the physical sessions, such as jungle trekking through the Temburong forest, water rafting and obstacle courses, while participants were assessed on their leadership and team player qualities.

LiveWIRE Programme Director Haji Yusrin bin Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Mohd Salleh concluded the programme with an ending note.
