Brunei’s total COVID-19 death toll reaches 30

The number of COVID-19 related death reached 30 after one case succumbed to lung infection caused by the coronavirus yesterday.

This was announced by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar at the daily press conference yesterday.

The minister said, “By the will of Allah the Almighty, the Ministry of Health (MoH) informs the public that one COVID-19 case has returned to the grace and mercy of Allah the Almighty.

“The deceased was Case 5019, a 66-year-old man who suffered lung problems after being infected with COVID-19 and was admitted to Intensive Care Unit at the National Isolation Centre.

“On behalf of the MoH as well as the people of Brunei Darussalam, I convey my deepest condolences to his family.”

“May his soul receive blessings from Allah the Almighty and may he be placed among the pious,” the minister added.
