Brunei’s COVID downtrend continues

Brunei Darussalam continued to record a downward trend of new Covid-19 cases, according to Ministry of Health (MoH) data.

The MoH recorded a daily average of 143 cases last week, compared to 223 cases in the previous week.

A total of 35,365 ART test results were uploaded to the BruHealth app within one week of which 2.8 per cent were positive ART test results, said Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar in the weekly press conference.

The minister said 148 new cases were reported yesterday of which 147 cases are the result of ART tests and one from RT-PCR laboratory tests.

As of Monday, the rate of vaccination coverage of COVID-19 in Brunei Darussalam remains at 79 per cent for all citizens and residents having received the third dose of the vaccine and 11.8 per cent with the fourth dose.
