Bruneian tourist, student evacuated from Wuhan

A Bruneian tourist and a student evacuated from Wuhan, Hubei Province of the People’s Republic of China arrived in the country yesterday morning and are in good health.

They have been placed at the National Isolation Centre for 14 days.

The evacuation process began on Friday using a Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) aircraft with the collaboration of RB, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in the People’s Republic of China and the Department of Civil Aviation.

The Ministry of Health stated in a release that the RB aircraft left Brunei International Airport at 4.52pm.

The aircraft carrying the two Bruneians arrived in the country at 2.45am yesterday.

The two were sent to the National Isolation Centre for further check-ups.

Deputy Permanent Secretary (Professional) at the Ministry of Health Dr Haji Zulaidi bin Haji Abdul Latif, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Management) at the Ministry of Health Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin and Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administration and Protocol) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pengiran Haji Saiful Rizal bin Pengiran Haji Razali witnessed the arrival at the Brunei International Airport.
