Brunei youth sharpen business knowledge in Thailand

LOCAL youth from three companies from Brunei Darussalam attended the 52nd Diplomatic Red Cross Bazaar 2019 in Siam Paragon, Bangkok, Thailand from March 2-3.

They were Hajah Noor Monasalieana @ Suzie binti Haji Mohd Salleh (Executive Managing Director of Seri Pekatan Sdn Bhd), Dayangku Normaskuin binti Pengiran Duraman and Hairul Aziz bin Mazni from Maduku.Bn, and Hasliza binti Haji Hashim and Wardatul Zahrah Abdul Razak from Go Jagus Brunei.

The Diplomatic Red Cross Bazaar is a charity fund-raising event hosted by the Thai Red Cross Society in collaboration with the diplomatic participants committee.

The opening of the event was graced by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

The objectives of the bazaar were to raise funds for the Red Cross society, strengthen relationships among participating countries and promote and showcase local products of participating countries.

At the bazaar, the Brunei youth learnt about the market demand of clients in Thailand and a better understanding of the acceptability of their product in terms of price, packaging and quantity.

The youth took the initiative with their own fund to join the bazaar with assistance from the Brunei Darussalam Embassy in Thailand.
