The Brunei Young Leaders Convention (BYLC) 2023, organised by Perspective Insan Academy, returns with the fourth instalment from June 12 to 14.
The three-day convention to be held at Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) is open to individuals aged between from 15 to 45, who are passionate in making positive changes, contributing to the nation’s development and achieving Brunei Vision 2035. Registration opens until May 28 can be made via their website at www.bylconvention.com.
During the convention, youth leaders will have the opportunity to get detailed information regarding Brunei Vision 2035, attend forums, establish network and interact with mentors and panelists, as well as experiences unique activities.
BYLC 2023 is a platform to gather and unite youth as well as stakeholders and the community to deliver accurate and updated information regarding Brunei Vision 2035. It also provides a platform for youth to carry out effective and sustainable programmes to achieve Brunei Vision 2035.
The motto for BYLC 2023 is BELIA which is ‘Believe, Empower, Lead, Inspire and Act’.
‘Believe’ means believing in the ability of young people to play a role in nation building.
‘Empower’ means supporting youth in growing leadership skills by providing guidance and constructive advice.
‘Lead’ is a trait that must exist in every youth for them to be able to lead and make positive changes while ‘Inspire’ is supporting existing youth leaders generation, assisting them with experience and encouragement.
Meanwhile, ‘Act’ is intended for the youth to take action in starting programmes and projects that correlate with Brunei Vision 2035.
