    Brunei win two silver, one bronze in ASEAN Para Games

    National para athletes continued their haul of medals with two silver and one bronze during the 12th ASEAN Para Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia yesterday.

    The silver medal came from national para athlete Raduan bin Haji Mataha in the Men’s Discus Throw (F11) event with a mark of 20.99 metres (m) and Alihan Muda in the Men’s Discus Throw (F34) event with a mark of 18.4m.

    In the Men’s Discus (F11) event, Philippines’ Evaristo Joven Carbonel won gold with a mark of 25.67m, while Vietnam’s Vovan Tung won gold in the Men’s Discus Throw (F34) with a mark of 24.85m. Meanwhile, Shari bin Haji Juma’at won bronze in the Men’s Javelin Throw (F55) event with a mark of 22.16m.

    The gold medal was won by Vietnam’s Kieu Minh Trung with a mark of 27.1m and Indonesia’s Riadi Saputra with a mark of 25.69m.
