The Sultanate will observe National Level Nuzul Al-Quran celebration for 1443 Hijrah at the Plenary Hall of the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas starting 9pm next Monday.

This year’s celebration theme is ‘Bertemankan Al-Quran Sepanjang Zaman’ (Companionship with Al-Quran Throughout the Ages).

The programme includes the announcement of the results of the National Level Al-Quran Memorisation and its Understanding Competition for 1443 Hijrah and Al-Quran recitations by the winners.

The celebration is jointly organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs.

To curb the spread of COVID-19, invited guests are required to register via BruHealth with a green or yellow code, undergo antigen rapid test (ART) at Perpaduan Hall of the ICC before going to the Plenary Hall, and bring a prayer mat for those wishing to perform Isyak and Sunnat Tarawih prayers. Invited guests are also required to perform ablution at home, wear face masks, take body temperature, sanitise their hands, practise social distancing, refrain from shaking hands and disperse once the event is completed.

Individuals with symptoms such as high fever, cough, runny nose, and breathing difficulty are not allowed to attend the event. For male congregants, the prayer room is available at the Press Conference Hall while for female congregants, the prayer hall is at ICC surau.
