Brunei Darussalam’s tug-of-war team is vying to do their best at the 14th Asian Tug-of-War Indoor Championships 2019 in Ayutthaya, Thailand from September 13-16.

The national team coach Haji Sallih bin Osman shared that his team will give their best despite not having enough time to prepare.

“We didn’t have enough time for training, however, I believe we will do our best for the country,” he said.

The team comprising nine pullers and two officials will compete in the eight pullers (combined 600kg) category.

Meanwhile, the team got a morale boost after receiving a sponsorship from Aifa Sdn Bhd.

Managing Director of Aifa Sdn Bhd Dr Andy Lau Sie Chuong, who is also the Deputy President of Brunei Darussalam Tug-of-War Association, presented the sponsorship to Haji Sallih.

Secretary of the Brunei Darussalam Tug-of-War Association Pengiran Haji Mohd Iskandar Shah bin Pengiran Haji Jadid witnessed the handover.
