The 2021 edition of the Brunei DST Super League, organised by the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) has been cancelled this season.

The FABD has taken into account the timeframe needed to adjust to the new normal when the country started to open up its activities.

The national governing body will be moving forward towards organising the 2022 edition of the league.

The decision will give ample time for clubs and academies to properly ensure that all of their players have completed their vaccinations – especially when involved in gatherings including team sports like football.

The timeframe needed will also be used to update and integrate any best practices into the current standard operating procedures pertaining to COVID-19.

The football association has also looked at the requirement for individuals to undergo Antigen Rapid Test (ART) at certain times to ensure those involved in the running of football in the country is safe from the pandemic.

Clubs and academies have also been reminded that the transfer window period remains from December 7, 2021 to February 28, 2022. Any transfer before and after this period is not allowed.
