BRUNEI Darussalam was invited to a product presentation in Tokyo, Japan recently.
The presentation was jointly given by Tourism Development Department, Royal Brunei Airlines General Sales Agent in Japan, local travel agencies and Mulia Hotel.
The product presentation also saw a business matching session aimed at providing updated information on Brunei as main leisure, meeting, golf and soft eco adventure destination for the Japanese market who are looking for new destination in leisure markets.
President of the Brunei Association of Hotels Mohd Iswandi bin Maaruf noted that it was a fruitful meeting and they had quite an enquiry on what the country have to offer, types of accommodation available and the places of interests aside from the Bruneian culture and cuisines.
“With our national carrier recently spreading its wings to Tokyo, Japan, this is really an advantage to boost tourism industry between the two countries and things are very much looking positive from this meeting,” he added.
The event took place at ASEAN-Japan Centre and Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Japan Haji Shahbudin bin Haji Musa and representative from Japan Association of Travel Agencies (JATA) were present.
