Brunei Darussalam have been drawn in Group ‘B’ of the upcoming FIFAe Nations Online Qualifiers 2022 for Asia and Oceania from May 20 to 22.
The country, who will be making their debut, will be up against against Singapore, Korea, New Zealand and Vietnam.
The Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) yesterday confirmed that the country will be represented by three players namely Adib Sazali, Naziruddin and Suffian Adanan.
Adib, who goes by the moniker Dibsy, is a DST Carnival 2020 champion while Naziruddin, whose display name is Ojir, claimed the FABD eFootball Tournament 2021 title.
Suffian, who is also known as Suffine17, earned his place in the team following two runner-up finishes in the DST Carnival 2020 and FABD eFootball Tournament 2021 meets.
In leading up to the tournament, players had commenced training which is arranged in collaboration with the ESports Association of Brunei.
Meanwhile, Group ‘A’ comprise Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, Chinese Taipei
and Mongolia.
