Brunei records third day with no new COVID-19 cases

Brunei Darussalam entered its third day with no new imported COVID-19 cases and the 245th day with no local transmissions yesterday, keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 172.

The latest update of the COVID-19 situation as of noon yesterday was released by the Ministry of Health (MoH).

Meanwhile, the MoH took 368 samples for SARS-CoV-2 testing in the past 24 hours and carried out 84,448 tests since January.

Twenty active cases are receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) in the Tutong District, while there have been 31 imported cases since the last local case was reported 245 days ago.

Seven hundred and twenty-one individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after arriving from abroad while 10,679 have completed self-isolation since March.
