    Brunei records no new COVID-19 cases

    Brunei Darussalam yesterday recorded no new COVID-19 cases, keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 248.

    Six active cases receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) are in stable condition, the Ministry of Health (MoH) announced yesterday.

    Brunei has not recorded any local transmissions for a consecutive 401 days.

    A total of 647 individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres, comprising individuals who have arrived from overseas.

    At present, 19,847 individuals have completed their mandatory self-isolation at the monitoring centres.

    In the past 24 hours, 581 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 134,013 tests.

    In Its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the country, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there have been 212 cases in Brunei-Muara District, 30 in Belait District and six in Tutong District.
