Brunei records no new COVID-19 cases

Brunei Darussalam recorded no new COVID-19 cases yesterday, keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 246.

Seven active cases receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) in Tutong District are in a stable condition.

Information on the COVID-19 situation in the country as of noon yesterday was released by the Ministry of Health (MoH).

According to the MoH, the Sultanate has had no local transmissions for 399 days.

A total of 696 individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after returning from abroad, with 19,587 individuals having completed mandatory self-isolation at monitoring centres since March 2020.

Over the past 24 hours, 424 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus testing, bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 132,912.

Healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there have been 210 cases in Brunei-Muara District, 30 in Belait District and six in Tutong District.
