Brunei records 89 days with no new COVID-19 case

Brunei Darussalam continued its streak of no new COVID-19 cases for the 89th consecutive day yesterday keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 141.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has taken 486 samples for testing for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the past 24 hours and carried out 41,634 test for SARS-CoV-2 virus since January.

The latest updates on the COVID-19 situation in the country was shared by the MoH in its daily release yesterday. According to the statement, 489 individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after arriving from abroad.

Meanwhile 3,816 individuals completed their mandatory self-isolation at monitoring centres since March 2020.

In its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the country, revealed that there were 110 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
