Brunei records 75 days without new COVID-19 cases

Brunei Darussalam yesterday marked 75 days without new COVID-19 cases keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 141.

The information on the latest situation of COVID-19 was shared by the Ministry of Health (MoH) in a statement yesterday.

According to the statement, 457 persons who have arrived in the country after travelling abroad are undergoing their mandatory self-isolation. They are placed at government monitoring centres.

Meanwhile, 3,374 individuals have completed their mandatory self-isolation at the monitoring centres since March 2020.

The MoH revealed that 453 samples have been taken and tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 36,491.
