Brunei records 519 new COVID-19 cases

Brunei recorded 519 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the national tally of confirmed cases to 155,793. The new cases were results from antigen rapid tests (ARTs).

No COVID-19 fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours.

The updates were shared by the Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday. Meanwhile, two cases are in Category 5 requiring treatment in the intensive care unit and two cases in Category 4 require oxygen assistance and are under close monitoring.

Some 415 cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 152,018, while there are 3,550 active cases.

The vaccination coverage for children aged five to 11 is 84.4 per cent for the first dose and 70.3 per cent for the second. Meanwhile, 72.1 per cent of the population has received three doses.
