Brunei Darussalam received 7,200 doses of the Moderna vaccine (Spikevax Bivalent Original/Omicron) on November 20 and members of the public aged 18 and above looking to get a booster dose can book slots at nearby health centres through the BruHealth app.

The arrival of the vaccine was shared by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar during the weekly press conference on the COVID-19 situation yesterday.

The bivalent vaccine, he said, “Has already been authorised by the Brunei Darussalam Medicines Control Authority for use in the Sultanate.

“The next supply of the vaccine is expected to arrive on November 25 and 27,” he said.

He added that the use of the bivalent vaccine has also been given authorisation by medical regulatory authorities in Australia, Canada, the European Union, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
