Sarawak’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Week (MSME Week) was held at the Coco Cabana in Miri from June 21 to 25.
The event, launched by Deputy Premier of Sarawak, Minister for International Trade, Industry and Investment, Sarawak Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah bin Ali Hasan, saw three Brunei companies showcase their products.
Sabli Food Industries (B) Sdn Bhd exhibited their line of canned food, cordials, teas, and sauces; ORI Sdn Bhd brought their bottled flavoured water, while Rayhan.Oud Company showcased their car fragrances, body perfume, and homemade diffusers.
During the event, the Brunei businesses and Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) representatives met with potential distributors and buyers from both East and West Malaysia to explore opportunities for local products to access the Malaysian market.
Founder of Rayhan.Oud Company Abdul Hafiz bin Haji Suhaimi said the event helped provide a better understanding of market sentiments, including obtaining quality feedback on flavour profiles, product pricing and packaging from potential distributors and buyers.
