Two Brunei para badminton players suffered defeat in their first round matches of Men Singles WH1 category yesterday in the 11th ASEAN Para Games in Solo, Indonesia.
Brunei’s Haji Mohd Rudy Izman bin Haji Bandar lost to Thailand’s Salaemae Dulhalem 3-21 and 4-21.
Meanwhile, Vietnam’s Hoang Manh Guang won straight set against Brunei’s Haslan bin Matasan 21-5 and 21-7.
Brunei Darussalam has sent a 22-member contingent to compete in three events – para athletics, para badminton and para swimming – for the 11th ASEAN Para Games in Solo, Indonesia from July 30 to August 6.
