Pengiran Haji Kamalrudzaman said the event carrying the theme ‘Brunei in Bloom’ is planned to be organised every October with it being a part of the ministry’s initiative to further boost the country’s tourism industry.
He said apart from that, BIFS 2019 aims as a medium to highlight and provide an avenue to showcase Brunei’s floriculture industry and provide another tourism product for horticulture enthusiasts and visitors to look forward to in Brunei every year.
“BIFS 2019 will also serve as a business matching platform and generate income for locals,” he said. The five-day event will include various activities around the vicinity of the Horticulture Business Centre in Kampong Rimba. The activities include talks, workshops, floral installations, international exhibits, children’s activities, farmer’s market and many more.
