The Kembara Sejarah programme by the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) is an educational initiative to disseminate historical facts about Brunei Darussalam to students and enhance their knowledge through briefings and activities.

This was said by Head of the Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) Unit at IBTE Agro-Technology Campus School of Agro-Technology and Applied Sciences Mohammad Raimie bin Haji Mazid.

Some 300 students attended the programme at IBTE Agro-Technology Campus yesterday.

It was a collaboration between the campus’ MIB Unit and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports’ Brunei History Centre. The event features a history forum with panel members selected from IBTE Agro-Technology Campus students – Effa Nur Nina @ Siti Nur Fallah binti Zoolihsan and Haidatul Afiqah binti Abdullah.

A group of students also showcased a pantomime, Puteri Laila Menchanai, with scripts prepared by the Brunei History Centre, while Lakap Lagor Entertainment also presented its theatre performance, Nakhoda Manis.

Brunei History Centre also conducted exhibitions, briefings and interactive activities.

Brunei History Centre Principal Dr Haji Muhammad Hadi bin Muhammad Melayong and IBTE Satellite Campus Acting Principal Dr Suhaimi bin Haji Abdul Wahab were the guests of honour at the event.
