The Mercedes Benz Automobil Group (MBAG) Brunei contingent won the golf competition held as part of the fifth International Merceday Benz 2023 in Bandung, Indonesia recently.
Organised by the Mercedes Benz Club of Indonesia (MBCI) every two years, the Merceday Benz brings together Mercedes Benz Clubs members from across Indonesia and other countries including Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore and India.
Leading the Brunei contingent was MBAG Brunei president Haji Rahman bin Haji Mohsin who along with 25 members competed in the competition at Parahyangan Golf in Bandung.
The contingent won the friendly golf competition against Mercedes-Benz Owners Indonesia Golfers (MBOIG) gaining a three-point lead in the end.
“We were delighted to win the competition for the first time in representing Brunei. We will be back in two years to defend the trophy,” said Haji Rahman, who also received the Challenger’s Trophy on behalf of the MBAG Brunei by MBCI Chief Executive Officer Choi DJ.
MBAG member Haji Suhaimei bin Haji Awang Besar also won the Best Nett award.
