XOIA, a local designer brand, will showcase its collection today at the Thai Silk International Fashion Week and the Grand Fashion Extravaganza Show on November 23 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The events are part of the Celebration of Silk, which is a yearly international event, organised in honour of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother of Thailand, and will be participated by fashion designers from more than 60 countries.
XOIA will showcase 26 sets of designs comprising handwoven Royal Thai silks and other fabrics.
“This is an amazing opportunity for XOIA to showcase our craft and establish our brand on an international platform.
“This will also shed more visibility to other Bruneian creatives within the industry and hopefully encourage aspiring fashion entrepreneurs,” said Fashion Designer and Managing Director of XOIA Atiqah binti Ismail.
“Alhamdulillah, I am honoured to be selected to participate in this prestigious event and grateful for the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Bangkok, Thailand for recognising my talent,” she added.
XOIA will showcase its main collection at CentralWorld in Bangkok today 7pm. The Celebration of Silk will be officiated by the Thailand Prime Minister before media personalities, designers, celebrities, government officials, buyers, diplomats and business leaders.
