Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, as the Vice President of Brunei Islamic Religious Council and delegation are travelling to Malaysia and Singapore for a goodwill visit and discussion until February 7.
The delegation from the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and Badan Tanmiah Harta Majlis Ugama Islam (BTHMUI) will meet with Malaysia’s Prime Minister’s Office, Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council, Selangor Islamic Religious Council, Pahang Islamic Religious Council and Pahang Malay Tradition, Johor Islamic Religious Council.
They will also visit the Singapore Islamic Religious Teachers and Islamic Scholars Association.
The visits are part of the ministry’s effort to fine-tune its strategic focus on social well-being and security assurance in its strategic plan for 2020-2024 as well as networking and cooperation opportunities.
The delegation includes the Director of Islamic Legal Unit Haji Hardifadhillah bin Haji Mohd Salleh; Acting Secretary at Islamic Religious Council Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Akop as the Working Head; and the Head of Administration and Meeting Division at the Brunei Islamic Religious Council Ariffin bin Dato Paduka Haji Abu Bakar.
Also joining the delegations was the Head of Sukuk Financing Office at the Treasury Department, Ministry of Finance and Economy Dr Haji Mohd Aidil Yusrie bin Haji Shari, as the Focus Group Member for the Wakaf Empowerment Project.
BTHMUI is represented by its Director Haji Noor Hadi bin Haji Noor Kaseh; Senior Finance Manager Siti Norhamizah binti Haji Abdul Hamid; and managers for Investment, Trade and Marketing Siti Norhafizah binti Haji Abu Bakar and Mohammad Adika bin Mohammad Yusof.
Deputy Permanent Secretary at MoRA Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, directors and heads of departments at the ministry saw the delegation off at the Brunei International Airport on Monday.
